December letter from PTO President

December 8, 2015

I hope you had a great holiday week with family and friends! This fall has been great so far. I want to offer a huge THANK YOU to each and every person that contributed to MAGIC. It was an experience the kids will remember for years to come.

Although we have no December PTA/PTO meeting, we are working hard as a PTO board. By January our goal is to update our websites with information that is easy for potential new families to understand. And we're working on a complete plan to spread the word about the PALS program. On 12/7, Chris Reddam is presenting a plan to the governing board that includes minor changes to our application process (that is, a change to our P's and P's). As always, governing board meetings are open so you can attend to get more information.

Our ultimate goal is to fill all six PALS classrooms in the coming school year (waitlists would be nice too). You can help with that goal by spreading the word about the PALS program to your friends, family, and acquaintances. I'll let you know immediately when the website changes are live.

Beyond PALS, we need to work together to support our entire school community. There are many open positions on the Auction committee. Our contributions to the auction help pay for our kids' field trips, our school garden, our tech specialist, and much, much more. To get involved, please contact our volunteer coordinators at

WCEF still needs our support as well. If you have not yet donated to support our kids art, music, PE, and science specialists, please consider an end-of-2015 gift. Visit to donate.

Enjoy a safe and celebratory holiday season!
