We finished the first trimester and the holiday season is upon us.  Thank you all for your support of the PALS program.  Together as a community and with the help of our teachers we have created a special environment for learning.  On behalf of the PALS board and myself, I wish you all a very enjoyable holiday.  May you have your fill of food, sharing, football and shopping!

Sincerely,
Stacey Schweppe
PALS PTO President

As a relatively new parent to the PALS community, I have been thoroughly impressed with how much support there is in PALS, from the teachers, the parents and even the students.  My son, Kai, came to PALS at the beginning of third grade and we instantly fell in love with the program and Claudia.  Without knowing what I was getting myself in to, I signed up to work MAGIC our first year here.  That proved to be one of the best things I could have done as it introduced me to every child in PALS and a large number of parents.

We are now in our second year in PALS and I am in my first year as a board member.  Although I am enjoying my time on the board, I miss not interacting as much with the children and would love to get in the classroom more.  It seems our kids grow up really, really fast, and I am sure that before I know it Kai will be out of PALS and moving in to his own home.  But before that happens, I hope to make the most of his elementary school years and have a positive impact on as many families in PALS as possible.
