Deadline: March 12, 2012
To ensure your child(ren) a place in PALS for next academic year, the PALS Family Contract and Student Enrollment Renewal for 2012-2013 must be MAILED to the Parkmead Office, postmarked no later than March 12, 2012. We have asked the teachers not to accept these contracts from parents. Contracts may not be hand-delivered to the office. We have found that hand-carried contracts are easily misplaced.
Students entering PALS as a Kindergartner in fall 2012 will need to register for Kindergarten with Linda in the Parkmead Office this spring during Kindergarten registration. Please contact Linda to schedule a registration appointment. During registration, you will need to provide records of birth, immunization and residency.
If your regularly attended school is within the Walnut Creek School District, but not within the Parkmead attendance area, you do not need to fill out an Intra-district Transfer form if you already have one on file with the district office. Intra-district students new to the PALS program will need to fill out a transfer form. This form may be obtained at the front office of Parkmead. If your regularly attended school is outside the Walnut Creek School District, please contact your local district office to request a release and transfer. Please return all transfer forms with the enro1lment renewal contract.

'tis the time for our annual PALS Dance Program!
We
are excited to introduce Shelly Ross, our new dance instructor, who
will be taking on this exciting adventure. In order to help run the
rehearsals smoothly, parent volunteers are necessary.NO DANCE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!!!Volunteers
are used for crowd control and keeping the groups focused. See the
below dates & times and please volunteer when you can. If you can
volunteer consistently for the same day/time through the entire dance
program that would be most helpful. Please email Debbie McCommon atdebmccommon@sbcglobal.netif you can volunteer.
Thank you for helping to make this special part of the PALS program such a success!

You are seeing this correctly, Parkmead PALS is now on Facebook and
Twitter, two more means for us to disseminate information. Please like
and follow us in order to keep up to date with what's happening with
PALS. Don't worry, if you're not on Facebook or Twitter, we will still
maintain our weekly emails and announcements on the website which will
always be the official means of communication. Facebook and Twitter
will serve to augment what we already do for those who prefer this means
of communication.
If you have any ideas on how we can more effectively communicate information, please let us know by sending us an email at communications@parkmeadpals.org.
